Built from the factory floor
Silverio Taglione began his industrial career in 2009 and developed through Lean and process improvement, product and process engineering, production, supplier and quality roles, industrial maintenance and digital transformation. That path created a practical view of technology: the factory problem comes first, the tool comes second.
Current focus
As Global Process Competence Center Manager at ABB Electrification, Smart Power, his work connects manufacturing needs with emerging technologies and the challenge of scaling innovation across industrial environments. Public areas of interest include manufacturing execution systems, digital manufacturing, industrial AI, computer vision, Physical AI and humanoid robotics.
Human-centered manufacturing
A recurring theme is that industrial technology should amplify human capability. Safety, ergonomics, learning, decision quality and ease of interaction are not secondary to automation; they are part of the performance system itself.

His peer-reviewed research includes studies on passive shoulder exoskeletons in production environments, connecting worker augmentation with long-term industrial use.
