Factories already have highly effective automation. A humanoid should not replace a conveyor, robot cell or purpose-built machine simply because the form factor is more impressive.
The opportunity lies in work designed around people: moving between stations, using existing tools, handling changing layouts and performing tasks where a fixed installation is difficult to justify.
The right comparison is not humanoid versus human. It is humanoid versus the best available solution.
That comparison must include safety, reliability, cycle time, supervision, integration, maintainability and economics. A compelling demonstration answers very few of those questions.
The first useful deployments will be narrow, supervised and selected with discipline.
