Stable high-volume processes are usually better served by conventional automation. Humanoids become interesting when mobility, changing locations and operation in human-designed spaces create a need for flexibility.

Advances in perception, foundation models, manipulation and learning are moving robotics from fixed sequences toward more adaptive behavior.
The business-case filter
The assessment should start with the task: ergonomics, variability, environment, required autonomy, safety, reliability and total cost.
Industrial readiness
Integration, fleet management, safety architecture, support models, cybersecurity and economics will decide which humanoid applications survive outside the demonstration environment.
